Fog coveres the major cities of Punjab
Motorway authorities say road users should avoid unnecessary travel.
Fog and smog has covered the major cities of Punjab. Due to the fog, Motorway M2 and M3 are closed from various places while Sialkot Motorway from Lahore to Sambaryal has also been closed for traffic.
According to the spokesperson of the Motorway Police, Lahore-Islamabad Motorway M2 has been closed from Thokar Niaz Beg to Kot Momin due to fog, while Motorway M3 has been closed from Faizpur to Sarandi.
Sialkot Motorway has been closed from Lahore to Sambaryal due to fog.
Motorway authorities say road users should avoid unnecessary travel, use front and rear fog lights, avoid over speeding and keep a proper distance from the vehicle in front, while contacting helpline 130 for information and assistance.
It should be noted that Lahore, Okara, Sahiwal, Chichawatni and other cities are covered with fog and weather is getting severe.
