Asif Ali Zardari takes oath as 14th President of Pakistan
Asif Ali Zardari is the only civilian who has been elected president for the second time.
The president of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians Mr. Asif Ali Zardari has taken oath as the 14the President of Pakistan.
Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Qazi Faez Isa administered the oath of office to Asif Ali Zardari in the swearing-in ceremony held at the President’s House.
Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari and Asifa Bhutto Zardari attended the ceremony.
Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza also participated in the swearing-in ceremony.
It should be noted that Mr. Asif is the only civilian who has been elected president for the second time, yesterday Asif Ali Zardari got 411 electoral votes.
Against him, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, the candidate nominated by the Sunni Ittehad Council and Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf, got 180 electoral votes.
