UAE: Golden Visa Scheme Launched for Educators in Ras Al Khaimah
The Golden Visa is open to educators of all nationalities.
Ras Al Khaimah has introduced a Golden Visa program tailored for private school educators, offering long-term self-sponsored residency to those who meet specific eligibility criteria.
The initiative, spearheaded by the Ras Al Khaimah Department of Knowledge (RAK DOK), is designed to reward and retain top talent in the education sector.
Who Is Eligible for UAE Golden Visa?
The Golden Visa program is open to two key categories:
1. School Leaders: Includes principals, vice-principals, and school directors.
2. Teachers: All qualified educators currently employed in Ras Al Khaimah’s private schools.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
School Leaders:
- At least three years of residence and employment in Ras Al Khaimah.
- Possess an advanced degree (master’s or PhD) with equivalency certification from the Ministry of Education (MoE) if obtained outside the UAE.
- Demonstrate a positive impact on their school’s performance, such as improving the school’s rating.
- Submit an endorsement letter from the school’s board of governors validating their exceptional contributions.
Teachers:
Provide evidence of at least three of the following:
- Positive contributions to student learning outcomes.
- Recognition through awards or formal commendations at the regional or national level.
- Positive feedback from students, parents, and school leadership.
- Effective support for students of determination.
- Integration of innovative teaching methods and technology.
- Active involvement in professional development initiatives.
Application Process
Eligible educators must provide:
- An official appointment letter from the MoE or RAK DOK.
- Proof of educational qualifications and relevant endorsements.
- Documentation of residency and employment in Ras Al Khaimah.
- Evidence of contributions to improving school performance.
Applications will be reviewed by RAK DOK, which will notify successful candidates to proceed with the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) for final visa processing.
