PTI to protest in any case, Sheikh Waqas Akram

Central Secretary Information PTI Sheikh Waqas Akram says that the protest will happen in any case and they are fully prepared.

Talking to Geo News TV, PTI leader Sheikh Waqas Akram said that our engagement regarding the protest could not be changed into negotiations.

Sheikh Waqas said that our protest today will happen in any case, people from all over the country are coming to Islamabad to protest.

He added that they will not go back until their demands are met. And the first demand is the release of Imran Khan.

It should be noted that Inspector General (IG) Islamabad Police Ali Nasir Rizvi has announced to register a case under serious provisions against those who take the law into their own hands.

IG Ali Nasir Rizvi says that there is a ban on protests, rallies or gatherings in Islamabad under Section 144, strict action will be taken against violators.

Who is Sheikh Waqas Akram?

48 years old Sheikh Waqas Akram is currently a Member of the National Assembly (MNA) representing the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

He has been actively involved in the party’s political activities and was recently nominated by PTI’s leadership as their candidate for the chairmanship of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), replacing Sher Afzal Marwat in the process.

His nomination reflects his standing within the party and the trust placed in him by the leadership, including Imran Khan​.
