Sahiwal Arts Council organizes painting competition among students on the occasion of Punjab Culture Day 2024.
Commissioner Sahiwal Division Shoaib Iqbal Syed has said that the culture of Punjab is the guardian of traditions of peace and love.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the painting competition among students on the occasion of Punjab Culture Day organized by Sahiwal Arts Council.
He said that the thousands of years old history of Punjab is a continuation of traditions of love, struggle and unity.
This region is attractive in terms of its prosperity, civilization and culture. The culture and expression of Punjab’s culture is clearly reflected in the daily life of the people of Punjab. He said that no region can survive without its culture and it is the face and identity of any nation.
Director Sahiwal Arts Council Salim Qaiser said that the young painters have painted the colors of Punjab’s beautiful culture on the canvas with great love and hard work.
Professor Imran Jaffer, head of the history department of Government Graduate College Sahiwal, said that the culture of Punjab is full of beautiful colors of life which gives us an example of tolerance.
A total of 23 young painters participated in the painting competition. According to the unanimous decision of judges Abdul Mateen and Fatima Hussain, Aqsi Shirazi won the first position, Sania Ali won the second position and Huma Gul won the third position.
They were given checks of Rs 15,000, Rs 10,000 and Rs 7,000 respectively. While certificates were also presented to all the participating students.
