HRMS Sedhr: Government Teachers continue TNA test boycott in Punjab

Government says no teacher will be fired or suspended on the basis of TNA test.

Government teachers in Punjab, Pakistan continue boycotting TNA test imposed by the School Education Department terming it a plan to fire teachers from their jobs.

What is TNA Test and Why Govt. is taking it?

The Grand Teachers Alliance says about the Training Need Assessment (TNA) test that a new plan to humiliate all the teachers of the entire Punjab has been introduced in the form of this test, keeping in mind the privatization policy of the Education Department of the Punjab government.

According to the government, the teachers who pass this exam will go to UK and USA for training. A mobile application has also been introduced in this regard which has flaws. Actually, this test is being conducted to fire the teachers.

Message of Rana Sikandar Hayat Khan

In this regard, Punjab Teachers Union District Kasur Abbasi Group met with Minister School Education Rana Sikandar Hayat Khan on Oct 28, 2024. Two important points have been discussed in this meeting.

1. No teacher will be fired or suspended on the basis of TNA test.

2. All suspension and explanation orders issued shall be withdrawn. Instructions have been issued to Secretary School Education and CEO Kasur.

Mian Shehzad Munoor, President Punjab Teachers Union District Kasur, Ejazul Haq Khanzada Senior Vice President Punjab Teachers Union District Kasur and Waqar Joya President Punjab Teachers Union Tehsil Patuki were included in the meeting.

On the other hand, a campaign is being run against teachers by the Government of Punjab and controlled institutions. They are mocking at the teachers and insulting them on social media. Here is one of those posts in which teachers are being humiliated.
