Prof. Dr. Muhammad Imran Hasan Khan has said that trees are very important for the survival of human life and economic development. People should plant their own part to keep the environment green and pleasant.
He said this while addressing the opening ceremony of spring plantation drive at Deosai Garden of Government Teaching Hospital Sahiwal.
MS Dr. Akhtar Mehboob, Dr. Farrukh Shahzad, Dr. Sadia Haq, Dr. Mehwish Shah, Dr. Qudsia Haq, Dr. Umm-e-Hiba, Dr. Amir Majeed, Dr. Nisar, other faculty members and paramedical staff were also present on the occasion who planted saplings under the campaign.
Principal Professor Dr. Imran Hassan Khan said that trees are an important means of reducing environmental pollution but unfortunately there is a severe shortage of trees in Pakistan due to which the environmental pollution is increasing.
He said that planting more trees is the need of the hour to control environmental pollution. The spring season has started, so everyone should actively participate in the spring tree planting campaign.
Everyone should plant a large number of trees so that the plants can become shade trees for the benefit of our future generations.
