The education department of Punjab, Pakistan has made a policy on the dropout of children in government schools.

According to the new indicators issued by Sedhr Punjab, now the admission of each class will be monitored throughout the academic session.

A retention graph will be made based on the maximum enrollment of a class during the year. If the maximum enrollment of a class is achieved in a month, the average for the remaining months will be made based on that.

Teachers must maintain the retention of their classes. Dropouts will be questioned. It should be noted that in Government schools, fake enrollment is usual due to departmental strict policies.

The poor children often leave the school and start working on shops to earn money. But the teachers have no policy how to stop this and in this regard punishment to the teacher is not logical.
