Sedhr: How to submit data correction application in SIS Punjab

What is School Information System (SIS Punjab)

The School Information System (SIS) mobile app is used by the personnel of the School Information Department (SED) for real time data collection from the schools; for data monitoring by the AEOs; and for eTransfer by the teachers.

In April 2017, the School Education Department collaborated with PITB to institutionalize a tablet-based School Information System (SIS) – allowing schools to self-report data in real-time.

The system helps track enrollment and retention for each individual student. So far, public schools in the Punjab have registered 11.6 million students.

For each student, the CNIC numbers of their parents/guardians, phone numbers, date of birth, enrollment year and current grade, is maintained in the database. CNIC numbers are verified via the NADRA database for authenticity.

To gauge quality of data, PITB has also engaged call-center services to randomly select schools and call parents who have been registered in the system by schools. The feedback is routed to the School Education Department.

But unfortunately, many teachers complain that their data in SIS Punjab keeps changing which affects their transfers and create trouble especially for female teachers.

How to make Data Corrections in SIS Punjab?

The School Education Department has locked the edit options in SIS Punjab app so no teacher can change or edit data himself.

To make corrections, you need to write an application to the Chief Executive Officer Education in your district and mention the mistake on the prescribed form. You need to provide your documents copies to support your stance.

Here is the Checklist to forward the request to edit your data:

  • Hand-written Application to CEO Education
  • Identity Card Copy
  • Appointment Order
  • Permanent Order
  • First Joining copy
  • Salary Slip
  • SIS App Screenshot
  • SIS Data Correction Form

After having all those documents, make them attested by your school headmaster. In Case your school is not High School, you need to get those documents attested by your area (AEO) and Deputy Education Officer. After that you need to visit CEO office personally to submit those documents. Here is the prescribed form for correction.
