The supreme court of Pakistan has announced the decision of the reserved seats in favour of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI).
Justice Mansoor Ali Shah while announcing the decision said that the decision of Peshawar High Court has been annulled, the decision of the Election Commission is against the constitution.
He said that non-observance of election symbol does not stop any political party from elections. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was and is a political party.
The Supreme Court has said in the decision that PTI is entitled to get specific seats, Tehreek-e-Insaf should give the list of the names of its specific people within 15 days of this decision.
Supreme Court ordered to give reserved seats for women and minorities to PTI. The decision has said that specific seats in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh should be given to PTI.
Supreme Court declared Tehreek-e-Insaf as a party in Parliament and Provincial Assemblies.
After the court verdict, the head of the Sunni Ittehad Council Sahibzada Hamid Raza has demanded the immediate resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner.
