Quaid-e-Azam Games: Punjab Leads with Highest Medal Haul

Punjab has topped the standings in the Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Provincial Games, organized by the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), clinching the highest number of medals in the competition.
The official results, released on December 18, show Punjab’s dominance with a total of 164 medals, including 77 gold, 50 silver, and 37 bronze.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa finished second with a strong showing, earning 91 medals—24 gold, 30 silver, and 37 bronze.
Sindh secured third place with 72 medals, consisting of 15 gold, 26 silver, and 31 bronze, while Balochistan followed closely with 61 medals: 14 gold, 15 silver, and 32 bronze.
Islamabad achieved 54 medals, including six gold, 11 silver, and 37 bronze, while Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir claimed 22 and 26 medals, respectively.
The Director-General of the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) expressed appreciation for the athletes’ impressive performances.
He highlighted the total medal count of 484—137 gold, 137 silver, and 210 bronze—as evidence of the country’s growing sports talent and progress in nurturing young athletes.
The DG reaffirmed the commitment of the government and PSB to further support the development of sports facilities and offer more opportunities for athletes to excel and represent Pakistan on the international stage.
