Sahiwal Arts Council organizes a mushaira on Punjab Culture Day
Punjab Culture Day, also known as Punjabi Culture Day is celebrated on the 14th of March all over Punjab.
Director Public Relations Sahiwal Muhammad Aqeel Ashfaq has said that the culture of Punjab has a distinct identity around the world.
Aqeel Ashfaq said that the culture of Punjab is an expression of love and affection, which is clearly reflected in the folk songs and literature here.
He said this while presiding over a mushaira organized by Sahiwal Arts Council on the occasion of Punjab Culture Day.
He said that the poets, writers, artists and painters here love their culture very much and their works of art show beautiful reflections of their love for culture.
Director Arts Council Salim Qaiser said that Punjab’s culture has many beautiful colors and each color is a symbol of immortal colors of love.
Local poets Dr. Iftikhar Shafi, Salim Qaiser, Ali Waris Ansari, Farooq Azhar, Safi Hamdani, Shakir Jatoi and Meher Ali recited their poetry in the mushaira which was highly appreciated by the audience.
