Karachi National Stadium is still being upgraded

Mohsin Naqvi ordered the electronic screen to be repositioned for better fan visibility during matches.

Upgradation of National Stadium Karachi is in progress ahead of ICC Champions Trophy.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board, the upgradation project of the National Stadium is progressing rapidly.

Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi has also reviewed the progress of the development work by visiting the stadium.

Mohsin Naqvi directed to install the electronic screen at a suitable place and said that because of the screen it is difficult for the fans to watch the matches.

Mohsin Naqvi recommended installing the screen at a height to avoid blocking the fans view.

Mohsin Naqvi also directed to move the parking area closer to the stadium for the convenience of cricket fans and speed up the work on the upgradation project.

The PCB Chairman instructed the team to complete the project ahead of time by working day and night.

The top teams of the world are coming for the Champions Trophy tournament, it is an honor for Pakistan to hold the Champions Trophy.

He instructed the FWO officials for the timely completion of the project while the FWO officials gave a briefing on the progress of the upgradation.

ICC Champions Trophy:

The International Cricket Council (ICC) organizes the ICC Champions Trophy as an international cricket tournament.

Known as a “mini World Cup,” it features top-ranked teams in a shorter One Day International (ODI) format.

The ICC launched the tournament in 1998 as the “ICC KnockOut,” later renaming it, and it has since become one of cricket’s most competitive events.

The tournament, discontinued after its last edition in 2017, will return in 2025 with Pakistan as the host.

This will mark the first major ICC event in Pakistan since 1996.
