Municipal Corporation Sahiwal takes action against encroachments
Cases have been registered against 6 shopkeepers in Depalpur Bazaar and two have been arrested.
On the instructions of Commissioner Sahiwal Division Shoaib Iqbal Syed, the Enforcement Branch of the Municipal Corporation has taken action against encroachments in the city’s prominent business centers.
Sahiwal police has registered cases against 6 shopkeepers in Depalpur Bazaar Sahiwal and two have been arrested.
Enforcement Inspector Khalid Zia stated this in a performance review meeting of various departments at the Commissioner’s Office, which Commissioner Shoaib Iqbal Syed chaired.
Additional Commissioner Coordination Dr. Safdar Hussain, Director Development Dr. Saifullah Bhatti, Director Local Government Shahid Farooq Warraich, Director Public Relations Muhammad Aqeel Ashfaq, and other relevant officials attended the meeting.
Enforcement Inspector said that Chief Officer Sheikh Ashfaq Ahmed supervises daily anti-encroachment operations to ensure hassle-free shopping for visitors.
Commissioner Shoaib Iqbal Syed appreciated the staff’s performance in the ongoing operations against encroachments and instructed them to continue the efforts permanently.
He also instructed officials to expedite the ongoing rehabilitation work in the grain market under the PISIP program and complete it soon to reduce the public’s difficulties.
