Names of May 9 Plotters Still Unrevealed

Military officials have not yet made the names of the masterminds and planners of the May 9 events public.

The matter of the May 9 attacks has been discussed at various military forums, but the names of the masterminds or planners have never been mentioned in ISPR’s press statements or press conferences.

However, various federal ministers and political leaders have accused Imran Khan of being the mastermind behind the May 9 events.

The caretaker government formed a five-member committee to identify the facilitators, implementers, planners, and masterminds of the violent events on May 9, 2023, which erupted across the country after the former prime minister Imran Khan’s arrest.

The same report named 34 individuals who had developed the strategy of violent street power. It also accused 52 individuals of being the planners and 185 individuals of executing the plan.

Although the report identified the role of many PTI leaders in the May 9 attacks, it did not specifically mention any alleged mastermind, nor did it identify who the planners and implementers were.

However, it did mention that Imran Khan actively participated in the planning.

The report stated, “The investigations conducted so far revealed that 34 individuals were responsible for strategizing violent street power.”

It further added, “The pattern of violence on May 9 suggests that these individuals had carefully planned to target specific objectives, including military installations.”

Imran Khan, however, has termed the May 9 events a false flag operation.

He has also demanded the formation of a judicial commission to investigate the events of May 9.
