9 May Mastermind to Face Justice, Misleading and Destructive Politics Will Be Buried, ISPR

The state of Pakistan will ensure the rule of law and provide complete justice for the May 9 events.

According to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Field General Court Martial has sentenced 25 individuals involved in the tragic events of May 9 to up to 10 years of hard labor imprisonment.

It further added that delivering justice in the May 9 case will bury misleading and destructive politics driven by violence.

The ISPR also mentioned that on May 9, 2023, the nation witnessed the tragic events of politically incited violence, which are a dark chapter in Pakistan’s history.

These violent events, including arson and rioting, are a shock to the entire nation.

These events highlight that no one should impose their will on others through political terrorism.

After this Black Day, all evidence and events have been thoroughly investigated.

Some cases have been sent to the Field General Court Martial in accordance with the law, and trials have taken place.

The ISPR stated that the May 9 sentences represent a significant milestone in delivering justice to the nation, while cases against several other individuals are still pending in various anti-terrorism courts.

The sentences for other individuals will be announced once their legal processes are completed.

Raja Mohammad Ehsan (son of Raja Mohammad Maqsood) – 10 years of hard labor (GHQ attack)

Rahmatullah (son of Manzoor Khan) – 10 years of hard labor (Punjab Regimental Center Mardan attack)

Anwar Khan (son of Mohammad Khan) – 10 years of hard labor (PAF Base Mianwali attack)

Mohammad Afaaq Khan (son of M Ashfaq Khan) – 9 years of hard labor (Bannu Cantonment attack)

Dawood Khan (son of Amir Zeb) – 7 years of hard labor (Chakdara Fort attack)

Faheem Haider (son of Farooq Haider) – 6 years of hard labor (Jinnah House attack)
