Sit-ins organized by a religious group at locations such as Numaish Chowrangi, Abbas Town, University Road, and others were forcefully dispersed.
Police used baton charges and dismantled tents, while tear gas shells were also fired.
During the operation, angry protesters pelted stones at the police, causing injuries to several officers. Protesters also set multiple motorcycles on fire.
However, police have not disclosed any details regarding arrests.

During this time, two police officers were injured by gunfire from unidentified individuals.
According to SSP Korangi Kamran Khan, the injured officers were identified as Niaz Khan and Zigham.
One officer sustained a leg injury, while the other was shot in the neck and is reported to be in critical condition.
On the other hand, protesters claimed that nine demonstrators were injured by police gunfire.
Police stated that no fatalities occurred during the protests and no bodies were brought to hospitals. Six police officers were injured by gunfire during the demonstrations.
IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon stated that strict action would be taken against those attacking police and taking the law into their hands during the protests.
He commended the efforts of Sindh Police officers and personnel for enforcing the rule of law.
He emphasized that the police worked as a team to ensure the safety and security of the city and its residents.
