Hujra Shah Muqeem: LESCO failed to replace burnt electricity meters

Hundreds of household electricity meters that burned during the rains could not be replaced for a long time in Hujra Shah Muqeem, Okara.

According to the details, 448 meters are being charged monthly average within the limits of LESCO WAPDA Hujra Division.

More than six months have passed, LESCO has collected crores of rupees in average from the consumers of meters with defective codes.

Poor workers and citizens are forced to submit illegal bills worth crores of rupees. According to the data released by LESCO WAPDA Okara Circle, 3,500 defective meters across the district are being charged monthly average of crores of rupees.

The affected consumers have demanded that LESCO Chief Executive Lahore and the federal government take notice.
