Agriculture Department organizes seminar on grow more wheat campaign

The Department of Agriculture Extension, Sahiwal Tehsil, has organized a seminar in 120/9L Kamir, under the campaign to grow more wheat.

Addressing the participants, he highlighted that wheat is Pakistan’s main food crop and emphasized that the welfare of people involved in agriculture depends on its abundant cultivation and production.
Malik Arshad explained that officers and representatives of the Department of Agriculture are visiting villages to educate landowners about wheat production technology and golden production principles. He welcomed the active participation of progressive farmers, dignitaries, and political leaders from the area.
He encouraged farmers to follow the Department of Agriculture Extension’s guidelines, cultivate wheat on the maximum area possible, and achieve abundant yields.
Deputy Director of Agriculture Dr. Tahir Javed assured the participants of the Agriculture Department’s and farmers’ full support. He stated that officers and workers of the department are always present in the field to guide farmers.
He also noted that the Punjab government is using all available resources to support farmers, including interest-free loans, subsidized tractors and agricultural equipment, and free laser land levelers and tractors for farmers cultivating wheat on large areas.
Assistant Director Agriculture Extension Sahiwal Mahar Liaquat Ali guided landowners on implementing wheat production technology to achieve high yields.
Ahmed Saad, Agriculture Officer Sahiwal, and Abdul Qayyum also joined him on this occasion.
