Agriculture Department Sahiwal organizes seminar under Grow More Wheat Campaign

The Department of Agriculture Extension, Tehsil Sahiwal, organized a seminar in Jahana Sagla under the Grow More Wheat Campaign.

Addressing the participants, MPA Naveed Aslam Khan Lodhi emphasized that wheat is Pakistan’s basic food crop. Welfare of people associated with agriculture depends on its abundant cultivation and production.

He highlighted how officers and representatives of the Department of Agriculture visit villages to educate landowners about the importance of wheat production technology and the golden principles of production.

He welcomed the participation of progressive farmers, dignitaries, and political leaders from the area.

Lodhi encouraged the farmers to follow the Department of Agriculture Extension’s instructions, cultivate wheat on maximum land, and achieve high yields.

Director of Agriculture Chaudhry Shahbaz Akhtar assured the participants that the Department of Agriculture fully supports the farmers. He stated that the officers and workers of the Department of Agriculture remain active in the field to guide the farmers.

He added that the Punjab government provides full support to farmers through interest-free loans, subsidized tractors and agricultural equipment. Free laser land levelers and tractors are being provided for large-scale wheat cultivation.

Deputy Director of Agriculture Dr. Tahir Javed guided the landowners on implementing wheat production technology and achieving high yields.
