PTI responds to Attaullah Tarar Press Conference
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Senator Shibli Faraz has called the government press conference ridiculous and said that these incompetents do not know the consequences of their words. It is a pity that no one cares about the country.
Reacting to the government’s decision to ban the party, the PTI senator said that there was nothing to see in the press conference, only to hear.
He said that no other way to stop PTI, the country’s largest political party, was successful. Now they are dreaming to ban Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf.
Shibli Faraz said that these negative thinking parties call themselves democratic parties, it is time for the Peoples Party to prove itself as Bhutto’s party.
He said that they are trying to lead the country to further chaos, any such decision will create political instability at once.
The PTI senator said that he would give a formal reply to the government after consultation with the core committee.
PMLN files review petition in Supreme Court on Reserved Seats Decision
On behalf of Muslim League-N, a review petition has been filed against the decision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan on reserved seats.
The PML-N also requested to issue a stay order on the decision of the Supreme Court on July 12.
The position adopted in the petition is that the decision of the Supreme Court is completely silent on a few points.
- Should the Sunni Ittehad Council get reserved seats? The decision is silent.
- Should such a party get reserved seats which has not submitted the list itself?
- Whether an independent candidate can join a party whose one winning candidate is not present in the assembly?
- Should the seats be left vacant or distributed among the parties that contested the elections?
The petition further says that Supreme Court heard a lot of points, but in the short judgment, there is silence on several important points. The case of specific seats was only to the extent of Sunni Ittehad Council, Tehreek-e-Insaaf did not have a case regarding reserved seats.
11 parties including Sunni Ittehad Council, Hamid Raza, Election Commission have been made parties in the petition.
