First Electric Motorcycle (E-Bike) Inaugurated in GCT Sahiwal
The eco-friendly motorcycle that runs without fuel will soon be introduced in the public sector.
Sahiwal (Sahiwal Updates – 14 August 2023 – Arshad Farooq Butt) Chief Operating Officer TEVTA Punjab Ahmed Khawar Shehzad has said that the electric motorcycle (e-bike) produced by TEVTA Punjab will play an important role in the development of the country.
The eco-friendly motorcycle that runs without fuel will soon be introduced in the public sector. E-Bike is the only bike of its kind that is equipped with advanced features and ensures your safe journey.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the launch of e-bike on the occasion of Pakistan’s 76th Independence Day at the Government College of Technology Sahiwal here.
Controller of Examinations Education Board Sahiwal Dr. Naveed Azmat, former President Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Ambassador Sahiwal, Divisional Director TEVTA Mazhar Farooq and CEO Safia Rice Mills Ahmed Mubarak participated as guests of honour.
On this occasion, COO TEVTA Punjab Ahmed Khawar Shehzad officially inaugurated the e-bike and special prayers were also done for national security and development.
During the ceremony, Allama Syed Ziaullah Shah Bukhari and other participants congratulated TEVTA Punjab on its first e-bike under the leadership of COO Ahmed Khawar Shehzad and described e-bike as the best invention for today’s needs.
COO Ahmad Khawar Shahzad said that the project of eco-friendly electric motorcycle (e-bike) is welcome. This step has been taken under future thinking, this eco-friendly bike will help in keeping the air, water and cities clean in the country.
The countries that have developed till date have always thought of the future. Referring to the saying of the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him, he said,
“We should live for the next life in such a way that we have to leave tomorrow, but to live in this world, we should plan for the future.”
He said that electric bike will help to eliminate urban pollution as there is a lot of use of motorcycles in cities and electric motorcycle will help in reducing pollution.
Earlier, Chief Guest COO Ahmad Khawar Shahzad unfurled the flag and congratulated the nation by cutting the independence day cake. Later he inspected the exhibition of projects made by technical institutes.
On this occasion, he felicitated the team of TEVTA Sahiwal who developed e-bikes and distributed certificates of appreciation to them. At the end, he also started the plantation campaign by planting saplings in the college’s garden.
