Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park has launched the UAE’s first electric motorcycle, a major step towards clean energy goals.
The Emirati startup was unveiled at a grand ceremony attended by Sheikha Badour Al Qasimi, Chairperson of Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park, Under Secretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, Omar Al Suwaidi, CEO of Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park. , Hussain Al Mahmoudi, officials, businessmen and media personalities participated.
Although electric motorcycles have been around for a long time, the major companies’ focus has been on vehicles. This bike will prove durable and its speed is 150 km per hour. It can cover a distance of 300 km on a single charge. Intelligent technologies have been incorporated to protect its rider.
