DPS School Sahiwal approves contract for new Cambridge School Campus

The Board of Trustees of Divisional Public School and College Sahiwal has approved the award of contract for the construction of the new Cambridge School Campus.
According to the details, Commissioner Sahiwal/Chairman Sahiwal Educational Trust Shoaib Iqbal Syed presided over the board meeting.
Additional Commissioner Coordination Dr. Safdar Hussain, ADC Revenue Aitzaz Aslam Marth, Principal Brigadier (Rtd) Syed Anwarul Hassan Kirmani, Vice Principal Akbar Ali, Board Members Prof. Qamar-uz-Zaman Khan, Habib Jilani Vance and Syed Iftikhar Ali Shah and Bursar Kashif Sattar also attended the meeting.
Habib Jilani Vance gave a detailed briefing about the project and informed that 5 companies submitted tenders for an estimate of Rs 23 crore, out of which M/s Chaudhry Builders is proposed to be awarded the work at Rs 194.769 crore for bidding 15.54% less.
Commissioner Sahiwal Shoaib Iqbal Syed expressed satisfaction over the award of the contract for the new campus and directed that the construction of the campus should be completed within the stipulated one year.
He also directed to ensure the quality of the work. It was decided in the meeting that in future, all new teachers will be recruited on a 3-year contract, which can be further extended on good performance.
It was informed in the meeting that a newly recruited senior teacher in DPS Sahiwal is paid Rs 55,000 and a junior teacher is paid Rs 45,000.
While Faisalabad DPS pays Rs 38,000 in both categories and Okara DPS pays Rs 30,000. The Commissioner also directed to prepare new service rules for newly recruited teachers. He also prohibited various institutions from conducting tests of children in the school.
