Sahiwal (Sahiwal Updates – Director Public Relations) Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal Ikram ul Haq visited several brick kilns on the orders of Commissioner Sahiwal and reviewed the smog situation.
In Chuck No. 135/9L, while discussing the brick kiln of Chaudhry Bricks Company, he urged the kiln owners to play their important role in removing environmental pollution and not to burn any fuel that creates dangerous smoke and pollutes the environment.
He expressed strong displeasure for burning kilns without zigzag technology and imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on the kiln owners. Later, he visited the site to review the construction work of the District Election Commission offices under construction and saw the work in progress.
While talking to the concerned officer of PWD department and the contractor, he emphasized to complete the construction of the offices within the stipulated period and to ensure the quality of the construction work in every way. He also assured to increase the width of the road leading to the offices.
