CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz visits Sahiwal Teching Hospital

Chief minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has visited Sahiwal Teaching hospital and ordered to dismiss and arrest hospital administration.

According to the details, Chief minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz held four-hour long inquiry session on the issue of fire in the hospital and death of 11 kids.

CM Punjab was furious and reprimanded the officials of the health department. She ordered to dismiss and arrest of the principal, MS, AMS and admin officer.

The fire extinguishers had expired since April, but were not replaced despite notification. There was no practice or training to stop such incidents.

Maryam Nawaz announced the reward to the rescuers who took the children out of fire and inquired about the details.

The children died of suffocation and the report said everything was fine. Maryam Nawaz said that millions of machines and medicines are given, however x-rays and medicines are coming from outside.

Chief Secretary, Additional IG Special Branch, Commissioner Sahiwal Division, RP Sahiwal, Deputy Commissioner, DPO and other officials were also present on the occasion.

Principal Medical College, MS Hospital tried to blame junior employees for child deaths and ward fires. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, while doing justice on the spot, dismissed the two officers and issued arrest orders.

The doctors refused to obey the orders of the chief executive of the province. The police who were proceeding to make the arrests were obstructed , the DPO himself arrested the two officers after negotiations.
