The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest convoy has reached D-Chowk, located in the Red Zone of Islamabad.
Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon has confirmed that the police and paramilitary forces did not stop the protesters.
According to the DC, the situation is peaceful at the moment, but he did not confirm whether the government will hold talks with the protesters.
Since the start of the protest, the PTI has been insisting that they will reach D-Chowk in Islamabad and protest for the release of Imran Khan.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and former First Lady Bushra Bibi have also reached D-Chowk riding a container.
In viral videos on social media, the protesters can be seen celebrating on containers installed in D-Chowk.
