BISE Sahiwal approves annual budget 2023-24

Commissioner Shoaib Iqbal Syed appreciated the efforts of the concerned board employees.

Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Sahiwal  approves Annual Budget 2023-24 with expected income of Rs. 1088583000.

According to the annual budget, at the end of the financial year 2023-24, the the expenditures will be Rs. 1654928000.

The budget was approved in a meeting of the Board of Governors chaired by Commissioner Sahiwal Division/Chairman Board Shoaib Iqbal Syed.

Additional Commissioner Coordination Shafiq Ahmed Dogar, Secretary Board Dr. Rabia Akhtar and Controller of Examinations Rana Naveed Azmat along with board members attended the meeting.

Commissioner Shoaib Iqbal Syed appreciated the efforts of the concerned board employees in preparing the budget. He directed that board expenses should be reduced by adopting austerity policy.

He also expressed concern over the trend of getting various buildings on rent to meet the increasing office requirements and directed the Secretary Board to give a detailed briefing regarding the lack of space so that the Board could be accommodated in a government building. Additional offices may be moved.

In the meeting, Principal of Government College Sahiwal Professor Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed suggested that the board has been working in the college building for the last 11 years without any rent being charged. So the board should allocate special scholarships for college kids to encourage them.

Earlier, Board Secretary Dr. Rabia Akhtar presented the budget in the meeting and said that during the current financial year, Rs. 186.67 million has been allocated for the construction of the new board building.

He further informed that this year 63.4 million rupees is expected from the admission fees of children while 46.64 million rupees is expected for the registration of schools and colleges.
