Belarusian Foreign Minister Arrives in Islamabad with 68-Member Delegation

The Foreign Minister of Belarus, Maksim Ryzhankov, has arrived in Islamabad, leading a 68-member delegation.
This visit marks a significant step toward strengthening relations between the two countries. According to an official statement, the delegation includes ministers of energy, industry, communications, natural resources, and emergency situations, as well as the chairman of the Military Industry Committee.
Additionally, the delegation comprises 43 prominent business figures from Belarus, aiming to expand opportunities for bilateral economic cooperation.
Reception of Maksim and Meetings
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi welcomed the delegation upon their arrival in Islamabad and held special meetings with the Foreign Minister and the Energy Minister of Belarus.
While welcoming the delegation, he stated that the government and people of Pakistan eagerly await the anticipated visit of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
He emphasized that this visit would further deepen ties and enhance collaboration in various sectors.
Emphasis on Bilateral Relations
During the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi expressed that Pakistan values its relations with Belarus and is keen to advance them in key areas such as industry, trade, and energy.
He voiced optimism that this visit would open new avenues of cooperation between the two nations.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Additional Secretary of Foreign Affairs Shafqat Ali Khan and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belarus Sajjad Haider Khan were also present at the reception.
This high-level delegation signifies critical steps to bolster diplomatic and trade ties between Pakistan and Belarus.
The visit is expected not only to initiate a new chapter of friendship between the two nations but also to pave the way for regional and international cooperation.
