Barrister Gohar Announces to File an Appeal Against Military Court’s Verdict
He demanded that a judicial commission be formed for the events of May 9 and November 26.
Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Barrister Gohar has announced that PTI will file an appeal against the military court’s verdict.
In his statement, Barrister Gohar mentioned that appeals will be filed against the military court sentences, and these appeals will also be filed individually.
Barrister Gohar further stated that the Supreme Court should make a swift decision regarding the case related to military trials.
He demanded that a judicial commission be formed for the events of May 9 and November 26 massacre. It is noteworthy that protestors involved in the May 9 tragedy have been sentenced.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a Field General Court Martial has sentenced 60 more PTI leaders and supporters involved in the May 9 tragedy.
Hassan Khan Niazi, son of Hafeezullah Niazi, involved in the attack on Jinnah House, has been sentenced to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment.
The ISPR stated that Mian Ibad Farooq, son of Amanat Ali, involved in the attack on Jinnah House, has been sentenced to 2 years of rigorous imprisonment.
Rais Ahmad, son of Shafiullah, involved in the Jinnah House attack, has been sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment, while Arzam Junaid, son of Junaid Razaq, has also been sentenced to 6 years of rigorous imprisonment.
