Allama Iqbal Open University Announces Admission Schedule for Spring Semester 2025

Admissions for all programs in AIOU, from Matriculation to Ph.D., will commence nationwide on January 1, 2025.

This announcement was made by Dr. Malik Ahmar Zulfiqar, Regional Director of Allama Iqbal Open University, Sahiwal Center, in a press release.

University’s New Academic Calendar

To enhance the effectiveness of its admission and examination system, Allama Iqbal Open University has revised its academic calendar, opting to conduct admissions for all programs in a single phase.

Previous System

Previously, the university conducted admissions in two phases:

1. Phase 1: Matriculation, FA, BS (Face-to-Face), MS, MPhil, and Ph.D. programs.

2. Phase 2: BS (ODL), Associate Degree Programs, Teacher Training Programs, and Postgraduate Programs.

Changes Under the New Policy

Under the new policy, admissions for all programs will begin simultaneously on January 1, offering greater convenience and time-saving benefits to students.
