Delhi Police starts investigation on Rashmika Mandanna’s deepfake videos
The Delhi Police has started an investigation into the release of a deepfake video of Indian film actress Rashmika Mandanna on social media.
In this regard, the police has written a letter to Facebook’s parent company Meta and asked them to provide the URL of the account that released Rashmika’s deepfake video.
Police says that they will take action soon after the culprit is identified. It may be recalled that last week, a fake video of a well-known actress of bollywood Katrina Kaif was released on social media.
On her videos Rashmika broke her silence and called it fake and said that people should support her on this. This action of the police has come after the registration of an FIR in this regard a day ago.
Delhi Police DCP Hemant Tewari said that the police have sought information about the people sharing the fake video on social media in this regard.
