Commissioner Sahiwal Shoaib Iqbal reviews PSPA program

Commissioner Sahiwal Division Shoaib Iqbal Syed has called for a schedule for starting asphalt on 3 important under-construction roads of the city under the PSPA program.

Commissioner Sahiwal has directed that the quality of road construction should be ensured in every way.

While presiding over the performance review meeting of the PSPA program and municipal corporation in his office, he directed to clean the alternate line to solve the sewage problems in the high security jail.

Additional Commissioner Coordination Shafiq Ahmed Dogar, Director Local Government Dr Saifullah, Deputy Director Azhar Nabi Dewan, AC General Aliza Rehan, Chief Officer Municipal Corporation Ashfaq Ahmed and PSAP City Manager Muhammad Asjad Khan attended the meeting.

City Manager PSPA Muhammad Asjad Khan told the meeting that asphalt will start on Allama Iqbal Road from August 10, Fateh Sher Road from August 12 and High Street from August 18.

He further informed that Chinese company CGI Corp has been fined another Rs 10 lakh for delay in work on Madhali Road to ensure completion of work as per timeline.

The installation of 42 inch sewerage line is in progress on Madhali Road and 45 percent of the work has been completed so far. Chinese company Cocom has been given a deadline of August 20 for completion.

Commissioner Shoaib Iqbal Syed also expressed displeasure over the number of encroachments on Madhali Road and directed the highway department to remove all encroachments without discrimination.
