Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Zulfi Bukhari has expressed opposition to U.S. sanctions on the National Development Complex (NDC) and three other companies.
In his statement, Zulfi Bukhari said that due to Pakistan’s geographical position, it is essential for the country to take appropriate measures to protect its national sovereignty.
He further stated that the Biden administration continues to uphold double standards even in its final days.
It is noteworthy that the U.S. has identified four Pakistani entities for sanctions related to the production of long-range ballistic missiles.
According to U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller, these entities are accused of helping advance Pakistan’s ballistic missile program.
This includes the production of special vehicle chassis used for the launch of ballistic missiles.
Among these entities is Islamabad’s National Development Complex, and three organizations based in Karachi have also been sanctioned.
These include Akhtar and Sons, Affiliates International, and Rook Side Enterprises.
The spokesperson mentioned that actions will be taken against weapons of mass destruction or their delivery systems.
