The US State Department spokesperson said that there is also an appeal to Pakistani authorities to respect human rights and fundamental freedoms.
He said that the US supports freedom of expression and peaceful protests around the world, including Pakistan.
It should be noted that after the alleged martyrdom of 4 Rangers personnel by PTI workers late last night, the Ministry of Interior has issued a notification summoning the army to Islamabad and has issued orders to shoot the miscreants on sight.
