Mohsin Naqvi contacts PTI chairman to stop 24 November protest

The Federal Minister for Interior, Mohsin Naqvi, has contacted PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar to discuss the planned protest expected to take place in Islamabad on November 24.

During the conversation, Mohsin Naqvi referred to the Islamabad High Court’s orders, stating that the government is bound by judicial directives and cannot allow any procession, sit-in, or rally.

Furthermore, the Interior Minister informed Barrister Gohar about the presence of the Belarusian President and a high-level delegation in Islamabad from November 24 to 27.

In response, Barrister Gohar said he would consult with his party before providing a final decision.

It is worth noting that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced a protest in Islamabad on November 24.

In anticipation of the possible protest, the government has blocked routes from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa leading to Islamabad and has heightened security measures in the federal capital.
