Wynn Resorts’ $2B Marjan Island Project Set to Become World’s 4th Major Gaming Hub
Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first of its kind in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region.
Ras Al Khaimah’s Al Marjan Island is set to transform into a global gaming powerhouse, with Wynn Resorts leading the charge.
According to Max Tappeiner, the recently appointed president of Wynn Resort Al Marjan, the new integrated resort will position Ras Al Khaimah as “the fourth major gaming market in the world.”
Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first of its kind in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region, representing a $2 billion investment that aims to redefine luxury entertainment in the UAE and beyond.
Scheduled for completion in early 2027, it will be Wynn Resorts’ debut gaming destination in the UAE and a milestone project for Ras Al Khaimah.
“There are currently only three major gaming markets in the world,” Tappeiner said during the ‘Future of Ras Al Khaimah Conference’ held on Friday.
“We believe Al Marjan Island could soon join that list.” Construction is progressing on schedule, with Tappeiner sharing visuals of the resort’s development.
The Wynn Al Marjan Island resort will feature an expansive casino, luxury suites, and a host of entertainment options, including high-end dining, bars, a spa, a beach club, and an extensive conference center, catering to both leisure and business travelers.
Wynn Resorts, a global leader in luxury gaming, is known for its five-star service and high revenue performance.
Tappeiner highlighted the strategic location of Wynn Al Marjan Island, stating it would be accessible to 96% of the world’s population within an eight-hour flight radius.
With 76% of the global population within this range, the destination promises significant growth potential.
“It takes extraordinary commitment to develop a project of this scale,” Tappeiner emphasized. “Our vision is to make Wynn Al Marjan Island a premier asset, driving it forward with a dedication to excellence.”
