Construction of Cancer Hospital in Sahiwal is in final stages

The construction of a state-of-the-art cancer hospital in Haji Abdul Qayyum DHQ Hospital Sahiwal has entered its final stages.

In the first phase of the construction of the hospital, the OPD will be inaugurated in April, which will make cancer diagnosis and necessary tests available locally and save patients from the hassle of traveling to other cities.
A special meeting was held at the Commissioner’s Office to speed up the construction of the hospital, which was presided over by Commissioner Sahiwal Division Shoaib Iqbal Syed.
Deputy Commissioner Captain (retd) Ikramul Haq, Additional Commissioner Coordination Shafiq Ahmad Dogar, Director Health Dr. Ilyas Anjum, MS Qayyum Hospital Dr. Saqib Munir and AC General Aliza Rehan along with Mian Muhammad Safdar Farishta, Mian Naveed Mushtaq Farishta from Ferishta family. Advocate and Project Manager Taseef Aamir also participated.
Commissioner Shoaib Iqbal Syed appreciated the philanthropy of Ferishta family for actively participating in welfare activities in the city and hoped that they would continue to serve the residents of Sahiwal in the future.
In the meeting, it was also decided to form a 4-member core committee under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal, which will immediately remove the daily hurdles encountered in the construction work and also finalize the memorandum of understanding for running the hospital.
