Epic Games wins legal battle against Google

After a 3-year legal battle, a California court has ruled against Google, the world’s leading search engine, for removing Fortnite maker Epic Games and other publishers from the App Store.

Tim Sweeney, the founder and CEO of Epic Games, expressed his happiness on the social media website X after the decision of the case came in his favor and wrote that we have won the victory against Google.
He wrote that after 4 weeks of trial, a California jury has ruled against Google Play’s monopoly on all counts. Tim Sweeney thanked those who supported and trusted him in this legal battle.
It should be noted that this legal battle started in August 2020 when both Google and Apple blocked Epic games from their app stores.
