Are You Leaving current Teaching Job for Dubai?
There are five things that must be known before coming to Dubai.
If you are serving as a teacher in a government school in Pakistan or a professor in a college and want to come to Dubai to change your lifestyle, then this article is for you.
A few days ago, an advertisement was published in the jobs section of UAE Updates, which was related to teaching jobs in Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Arab Pakistan School, Abu Dhabi.
There were some problems in the school website due to which it could not be opened. As a result the applicants started sending CVs to our email whose number is more than 200.
Surprisingly, current service professors of Pakistan’s government colleges also sent CVs and senior subject specialists of government higher secondary schools also applied, including CVs of female teachers.
UAE Updates spoke to some teachers and tried to know their views. You will find the answers to all the questions asked by them in this article. After reading the article, you will be able to know whether leaving the government job and going to Dubai is the right decision or not.
There are five things that must be known before coming to Dubai.
1. Employment opportunities
If the question is asked whether there are job opportunities in the field of education in Dubai, then the answer is yes. There are Pakistani schools approved by Pakistan Embassy in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah where recruitment is done every year and teachers keep joining and leaving.
2. Teaching Standard
Two types of candidates come for jobs in Dubai. First, those whose knowledge, education and basics are not cleared very well. Their English speaking skills are also insufficient. They can’t get jobs here despite their higher degrees.
Others are candidates who have much better experience and quality, can speak fluently in English. They usually succeed in getting jobs here. Therefore, if you are a senior teacher or professor in Pakistan, this position is not enough to get you a job in Dubai.
3. Salary
The salaries of both the above-mentioned types of teachers are not the same in case of employment in Dubai. After deducting the monthly food and lodging expenses, you have the same amount as you were getting in Pakistan. However, the package of teachers with better quality can be better.
4. Job security
If you are doing a government job in Pakistan, your job is quite safe compared to private schools in Dubai. Your salary will also increase with time and you will also be entitled to pension. There is no job security in Gulf countries. You can be fired at any time.
5. Abroad and family problems
If you come to Dubai, you may have to stay away from your family. Because if you take your family with you, your monthly expenses can be more than twice your salary. Living abroad from homeland is not easy for everyone to digest.
Keeping these points in mind, we suggest that those people who are getting a salary of around 50 thousand rupees in Pakistan should never take the adventure of coming to Dubai. Rather, improve your income by starting a part-time business.
Nevertheless, if you are inspired by a motivational speaker, you can take a leave from school and come to Dubai and experience the job. Soon milk will be milk and water will be water.
